I'm taking charge of introduce Iranian beauty, While I read books to find Iranian information, I got an interesting content about Iranian cosmetic surgery. So, today I'll explain Iranian COSMETIC SURGERY! There are lots of people who have cosmetic surgery in Korea, what was worse, some Koreans say if they had plenty of money, they would visit plastic surgeons immediately. Like this, women has instinct for the pursuit of beauty. I wonder why the boom in plastic surgery is happening in Iran because I think they have well-defined features like big eyes, thick eyebrows, etc. What kind of cosmetic surgery Iranian people have?
Especially, it is fashion to have a nose job in Iran. In a year, more than 200,000 Iranian women have a nose job and people in Iran are at least seven times as likely as those in U.S.A to have it. Iranian women usually reduce the nose size in order to make a sharp nose like Western beauties seen in Hollywood movies and satellite TV. The charges for an operation is very expensive to such an extent as to exceed half of annual income of an ordinary office worker. What's more, lots of Iranian who had a nose job face with plenty of problems like respiratory hazards, pains, nasal congestion because of a wrong operation by unlicensed physicians. Nevertheless the line of waiting a cosmetic surgery doesn't get shorter. Having a nose job in Iran signifies a social rank and is recognized a fashion, therefore, some people apply a sticking in their nose as they had a plastic surgery.
Why do Iranian women want to have a nose job? Some people argue that this social phenomenon is happen because of their traditional garment, a chador. If they wear a chador, their bodies are concealed except their faces, so, they want to show off their beauty by exposed faces. And others think it is happen because of the Iranian government that doesn't encourage social leisure . As a result, young Iranian people who don't know what to do in their spare time dream to imitate the Hollywood stars' appearance seen on TV. In other words, it is a leisure to have a nose job for the upper-middle classes.
It is really interesting that Iranian women reduce their nose sizes in comparison with Korean women who make their nose high. On reflection, it is very heart-stricken that lots of people in world make a great effort to imitate a westernized standard of beauty. I'm regrettable cultural toadyism is applicable even FACE. In my opinion, people in world should have a pride and confidence of their nation in order to think that an innate appearance is beautiful.
I also realized that women's instinct for pursuit of beauty is everywhere the same. But in my opinion, we should not forget inner beauty is more important than the outward appearance!!!
